GaZom began in 2020 as a small dessert-focused venture by our founder, Kinzang, born from a simple love for handcrafted sweets. What started in the kitchen with tiramisu, cheesecakes and roll cakes was driven by a desire to create desserts that are comforting and delicious.

In a time when the world slowed down, we found joy in making things leisurely. We focused on balance, freshness and the quiet happiness that comes from enjoying something sweet.

Those early days laid the foundation for everything we do today. A belief that food, when made thoughtfully, has the power to bring people together.

As our journey grew beyond desserts, we naturally expanded into Japanese mains and drinks, and with that came a deeper vision for our establishment. We imagined a place that truly lived up to our name, GaZom (དགའ་འཛོམ།) – a happy meeting, translated from Dzongkha.

Our space aspires be warm and inviting, encouraging people to come together and share a meal while lingering in conversation. GaZom offers comfort not just through food but also through atmosphere. More than just a café, we provide a place to slow down, connect and create meaningful memories.

We believe that good food begins with honest and natural ingredients, free from the artificial. Our ingredients are sourced thoughtfully from Japan and Thailand, where we choose the freshest resources available and ensure that every dish reflects quality at its core.

At GaZom, taste is never compromised, because we believe food should more than nourish the body – it should also offer warmth and a sense of welcome. Everything we serve is made with the intention of creating food for the soul, meant to be enjoyed slowly and shared wholeheartedly.

OUR SIGNATURE DRINK

Ceremonial-Grade Matcha

At GaZom, we offer freshly whisked matcha meticulously sourced from the shaded tea fields of Uji, Japan.

PREMIUM GRADE

Only the finest first-harvest leaves, with its preserved taste profile and vibrant color.

TRADITIONAL PREPARATION

Each glass is hand-whisked to perfection with the traditional Japanese chasen, creating the signature frothy texture and umami-rich flavor.

VERSATILE CREATIONS

We offer a variety of beverages with our matcha, from traditional senchas (pure, infused teas) to modern lattes.

Traditional Teishoku (Set Meals)

We offer teishoku style set meals, inspired by the balance and comfort of everyday Japanese dining.

 

Each set is accompanied by soup, pickles and a small salad, as well as local Bhutanese green chilies. Below are some of our crowd favorites.

SHIBUYA TOAST

A thick slice of Japanese shokupan, paired with vanilla ice cream and strawberries and topped with powdered sugar.

CHARCOAL MATCHA ROLL CAKE

Charcoal sponge cake rolled to perfection with a generous fresh matcha cream filling, coated with powdered matcha.

TIRAMISU

A non-alcoholic twist on the classic Italian dessert. With moist, coffee-infused sponge cake layers and sweet cream.

JAPANESE CHEESECAKE

Rich Japanese cheesecake served with a side of jam and whipped cream. A staple at GaZom.
